ABOUT ME

Welcome to Travel World Map!,

My name is Sandra Orozco, and I am the person behind the blog.

I am a Madrilenian with an Alicante heart settled in London. I studied Nursing and Psychology, I specialized in neonatal intensive care in the United Kingdom and currently I still practice as a neonatal nurse and I continue with my postgraduate studies to be able to practice as a Clinical Psychologist someday. Both races, as well as the professional experience related to them, they have undoubtedly had a fundamental role in making me the person that I am today. They have also allowed me to work and make friends with people from different countries, cultures and religions; what has in turn has fueled my curiosity to travel (as much as i can) and continue exploring and knowing what is different from what we have at home.

As the blog name hints, and thanks to the flexibility that my work has given me so far, When I'm not wearing a gnawed hospital pajamas surrounded by incubators, chances are you'll find me traveling or planning my next adventure..

You may know me from my Instagram account @ sandraorozco.m, but with this blog I intend to go much further and share with you, in great detail, my balloon adventures.

If you decide to stay here I will make you part of all my adventures, and you can also enjoy my advice, experiences, guides and much more.

I hope that my website can serve as inspiration when traveling and planning your next getaways and that together we can fill our World Map with colors!

OTHER INTERESTS:

I am passionate about both photography and editing, and I try to continue learning by trial / error day by day. I also love to read, to write, listen to music at all hours, any type of dance, baking and eating! (one of my favorite parts of traveling is trying new cuisines). I also love crafts, so it is not uncommon to see me creating my own jewelry, painting with watercolors or learning to sew my own clothes.

By chance of life I fell into yoga practice a couple of years ago and I liked it so much that I ended up doing the 500-hour Yoga teacher course in 2019, and now he accompanies me in my day to day.

Frequent questions:

What camera do I use?
I use a Nikon d3400 and my iPhone X most of the time, since he always travels with me!

How do you edit your photos?
I almost always use Lightroom / Photoshop. Both the PC and mobile versions, which is the one I usually use for my photos taken with the iPhone. I often use presets from other designers that I like, as well as my own that I have been creating. I usually always adjust values like: brightness, contrast, black and white scale, noise and saturation of colors in particular that I want to highlight or soften in the photo.
